Robert Gushue is a dedicated chef with a passion for American fare. He believes that great cuisine is simply food that is well-prepared using quality, fresh ingredients.
Robert began his restaurant career as a 14 year-old dishwasher at a Brooklyn N.Y. tavern, moving on to line cook at several Brooklyn restaurants. As his career progressed, Robert enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., graduating in 1993. Having since held various positions at several five-star restaurants and the five-diamond Regent Wall Street's "55 Wall," restaurant, Robert was also chef at Johnny Mack's Bar and Grill in Brooklyn, N.Y., and the Woolworth Tower Kitchen in lower Manhattan
Deborah Gushue, General Manager/Owner
Deborah Gushue is a graduate of Hofstra University's School of Business in Uniondale, N.Y. and started her career with an international air transport association. Having an interest in technology, Deborah moved into the financial services field, holding positions at several international banks and financial institutions in New York City.
On September 8, 2001, while living in Brooklyn, N.Y., Deborah met then future-husband Robert at a landmark restaurant in Brooklyn's Park Slope neighborhood. Before long, Deborah would be enjoying Robert's cuisine, while developing an interest in the hospitality field...and a beautiful restaurant in Maine would soon appear on the horizon.
